Security forces have arrested three members of the terrorist Jundullah group, who were connected with the terrorist attack carried out in the southeastern city of Zahedan on July 15, a local intelligence official said on Tuesday.

Two bombs were detonated in quick succession in front of the Zahedan Grand Mosque on July 15. Twenty-seven people were killed and about 300 others were injured in the incident.

The three arrested people were handed over to the Judiciary, the official stated.

The culprits provided the Jundullah terrorist group with explosive vests and other necessary equipment for carrying out terrorist acts, he added.

These people have illegally travelled several times to a neighboring country and received terrorist training there.

One of them, was a seminary student in Zahedan, who had been carrying out anti-security operations under cover, he explained.
